🌱 Adoption Information 🌱
Prior to reaching out to our Facebook page, ample research should be done! Fancy rats require care and socialization unique to their species and proper husbandry is ever evolving; While you may have had a rat 5 years ago, it’s always good to keep your knowledge up to date for the sake of your pet’s well being. Applications are approved with the assumption that you have done the research and know what you are getting into in terms of rat health, zoonotic disease, and husbandry and are prepared to take on the responsibility of keeping these living creatures alive!
Adopting rats from our Rattery is primarily and preferably done via our Facebook page as it is easiest to keep organized.

🌱 Important Information 🌱
- RATS WILL ONLY BE SOLD IN GROUPS OF 2 OR MORE. THERE IS NO EXPECTION TO THIS RULE, EVEN IF YOU ALREADY HAVE RATS.
- As the Breeder, I get first pick and will hold back rats that meet my standards for the breeding program.
- Reservations and adoptions are done on a first come, first served basis.
- We do not allow reservations to be done before the rats are 8 weeks of age. I want time to watch the baby rats and know that they are healthy and ready to go to their new home.
- I do not have a waiting list and I do not plan on getting one.
Please remember that adopting a LIVE ANIMAL is a monetary and time commitment. Rats have their unique needs and issues that will need to meet and cared for accordingly. Proper supplies, nutrition, mental stimulation, and vet visits are up to you to provide when taking pet rats home. In order for a rat to grow up friendly and comfortable with you, you will need to get to know them and form a bond with them which requires time. It is your responsibility as a rat owner to help your rats thrive!
If for any reason you cannot keep your rats anymore or you feel like you cannot give them the time and effort they deserve, you are more than welcome to return them to our Rattery where they will be cared for accordingly. I will not pass judgement. Sometimes things happen. Sometimes rats just don't suit your life style. The health and happiness of the rats is what matters the most.
